A shower goes beyond having the chance to get clean. It provides a sense of dignity and the confidence to face life's daily challenges. Without the ability to get clean, how can anyone successfully pursue relationships, employment, or even permanent housing?
According to a Council on Homelessness 2014 report, there are over 1,400 homeless in Volusia County. And while there are programs for homeless meals, food, and other services, the ability to find a shower is not easy.
